Indore. The death toll has more than doubled in the accident that took place on Thursday at Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple in Sneh Nagar, Indore. The army took charge in the night, after which the number of dead had increased to 20 by 12 o'clock in the night. The dead bodies were taken to the postmortem house, where postmortem of 35 people was done till 5 am.

New Delhi. The Election Commission of India (ECI) will announce the schedule for the Karnataka assembly elections on Wednesday. The Commission said in a statement that the ECI will hold a press conference today at 11:30 am in the Plenary Hall of Vigyan Bhavan here. The term of the 224-member Karnataka Assembly ends in May. The Model Code of Conduct will come into force immediately after the announcement of the programme.
