Satellite Island is a beautiful tiny island lying close to the south-eastern coast of Tasmania, Australia. It is a private island and can be hired for exclusive use. Guests arrive in style This island was discovered by accident on an expedition to Adventure Bay in 1792 by Antoine Bruni d'Entrecasteaux (French naval officer). His fleet (group of ships) had come upon this whale-shaped land where they recorded astronomical observations. That’s how; the name satellite has come in to usage.
