Tata solar power comes with a successful background through the Rooftop Solar Project across the country and for this purpose, they have selected 100 cities in the country. In Bengal, they have chosen Brainware University for their launch. Brainware University also has implemented solar projects within its campus a few years back and is generating a good amount of electricity out of it.

‘Rooftop Solar Project’ was launched at Brainware University by Tata’s in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof Subrata Kumar Dey, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Subhasish Banerjee, Director Research, Dr. Sankar Gangopadhyay and Assistant Registrar Anandita Das among others on 12th December 2019. The solar project is cost-effective and can reduce the electric bill. Anyone can generate electricity using their rooftop to generate power, which is sufficient for an AC, Fridge, Television, Electric bulb or tube, etc.

Before the launch of Tata Power Solar, Head-Business Development and Growth, Kaushik Sanyal briefed everyone about the project and he said, “Barasat is among the top potential cities and we are privileged to launch this in a brand like Brainware University.

He also added that Tata’s have already pledged that they won’t enhance thermal power, rather they will promote renewal energy source.Vice-Chancellor, Brainware University Prof Subrata Kumar Dey thanked the Tata’s for choosing Brainware University for their launch and said “Solar energy is the need of the hour, with the growing pollution worldwide, it is safe to go for a renewal energy source.

The session was followed by an audiovisual presentation followed by the official launch of the Tata Power Solar in Barasat from Brainware University by flagging off the demo vehicle, by Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Assistant Registrar and Tata Power Solars, Business Head, Kaushik Sanyal.
