Education, throughout the world, is undergoing a paradigm shift. To keep up with the times, Brainware University, too, needs to transform itself from a conventional teaching institute to a modern up-to-date academy, which can combine the skill-based needs of the present-day industry with the rigours of academics. Future Focus 2020, which took place in the campus on January 3, 4 & 6, was an attempt to explore ways in which the university would move in the future. The programme was attended by all members of the faculty of 57 courses under 17 departments and it was presided over by the University’s Chancellor. Mr. Phalguni Mookhopadhayay.

The Chancellor announced new committees within the university - each having specific duties: the Quality Management Team will look into overall maintenance of the quality of teaching; the Quality Enhancement Team will push the university forward with new projects and ideas. The Campus 2 Corporate will not just look into placements but also establish the links between the two in different ways and activities.

The invited guest Mr. Nadeem Kazim, the former HR director of Exide appreciated the Chancellor’s point of view and said that in the changed circumstances that were the only way how to survive in the education field. All the heads of the department made presentations of how they plan to look forward in 2020. The teachers need to be accountable and target set for each department.

The students’ assessments are given due importance and teachers were awarded according to their evaluations. The programme was concluded with a cultural programme were employees participated.
