Brief description on Psoriatic arthritis
According to a recent study, approximately 8.70 million people in the United Kingdom aged above 46 years suffer from osteoarthritis, the most common arthritis, and 4 lakhs people are affected by rheumatoid arthritis in the UK & USA. And then comes psoriatic arthritis, a rare kind of arthritis found in fewer people. Psoriatic arthritis is a chronic autoimmune disease in which normal skin turns into red patches with inflammation, pain, and stiffness in bones and joints. The different types of psoriatic arthritis are Distal Interphalangeal Arthritis, Arthritis Mutilans, Spondylitis, Asymmetrical Psoriatic Arthritis, and Symmetrical Psoriatic Arthritis.
