As you know what is about to be covered in your class, get the material as and when you need it. Not getting books that are important may get you behind schedule even after you attend class. You would not wish to not know things just because you do not have material with you. Also, assignments should be completed on time to get grades accordingly. Visual learning is far better than mentally remembering things. Looking at books can make you remember stuff faster than mugging them up.
