If you have found a useful page, article, video, tool, discussion, or other web resource, you can submit it as a Story when your account meets the current submission requirements.
When you are ready, use Submit a New Story.
Before submitting, these guides can help:
Submission Guidelines
Learn what can be submitted, how to choose a useful source, how duplicate checks work, what to know about self-promotion, and why some submissions may be rejected or reviewed.
What Is a Story?
If you are unsure what information belongs on Vahuk and what remains on the original website, read What Is a Story?.
Genres on Vahuk
If you are unsure where your Story belongs, read Genres on Vahuk before choosing a Genre and Tags.
Why Was My Story Submission Rejected?
A Story can fail to submit for several reasons. The message shown during submission is usually the best place to start.
Common reasons can include:
- an invalid URL;
- a source that cannot be reached;
- a duplicate Story;
- insufficient User Karma;
- a restricted source domain;
- missing required information;
- a source integrity or policy concern.
Do not keep submitting the same URL without addressing the reason for failure.
For more help, read the Submission Guidelines, How Karma Works, and Spam & Abuse Policy.
Why Does Vahuk Say My URL Is a Duplicate?
Vahuk tries to keep one main Story around a source instead of creating several copies of the same destination.
Two URLs can sometimes look different while still pointing to the same underlying page. Differences may come from tracking parameters, redirects, protocol variations, unnecessary query strings, or other URL formatting.
Vahuk may therefore treat different-looking URLs as the same source.
If the Story already exists, do not try to bypass the duplicate check by changing the URL in meaningless ways.
Read the Submission Guidelines for more about duplicate Stories.
Why Can’t I Submit a Story?
If the submission form is available but your Story cannot be accepted, possible reasons can include:
- not having enough User Karma;
- submitting an invalid or unreachable URL;
- submitting a source that already exists;
- using a restricted domain;
- another validation or integrity issue.
Start with Submission Guidelines. If the problem is related to your Karma balance, read How Karma Works.
Understanding Karma
Vahuk uses more than one kind of Karma, and they serve different purposes.
User Karma belongs to your account. Story Karma belongs to an individual Story.
The How Karma Works guide explains questions such as:
- What is User Karma?
- What is Story Karma?
- How can Karma increase?
- Why does submitting a Story use Karma?
- Why did my Karma decrease?
- Is Karma the same as contributor trust?
- Can Karma be corrected?
One point is especially important: legitimately spending User Karma through normal Story submissions does not by itself make you less trusted.
Understanding Genres and Tags
A Genre describes the broader main subject of a Story. Tags provide more specific context.
For example, a Story about a WordPress debugging problem may belong in a programming-related Genre and use Tags such as “WordPress,” “PHP,” and “debugging.”
Read Genres on Vahuk if you need help with questions such as:
- Which Genre should I choose?
- What is the difference between a Genre and a Tag?
- Can a Story use more than one Genre?
- What happens if I choose the wrong Genre?
- Can Vahuk change a Story’s Genre?
Understanding Voting and Reactions
Voting and reactions are different ways for members to respond to Stories.
A vote gives a broader community signal. A reaction expresses a more specific response.
Read Voting & Reactions for help with questions such as:
- What does a vote mean?
- How are reactions different from votes?
- Can votes affect Story Karma?
- Can I change a reaction?
- Can voting affect Trending?
- Are vote exchanges allowed?
- Can artificial votes or reactions be removed?
Community Rules
Different Vahuk policies cover different parts of participation.
Community Guidelines
Use the Community Guidelines for general participation standards, respectful discussion, self-promotion, voting behavior, privacy, harassment, and community conduct.
Spam & Abuse Policy
Use the Spam & Abuse Policy for rules covering domain flooding, duplicate abuse, fake engagement, automation, Karma manipulation, malicious links, and attempts to bypass Vahuk’s systems.
Moderation Policy
Use the Moderation Policy to understand Story review, domain restrictions, Karma corrections, Story removal, account restrictions, noindex decisions, reports, and correction of moderation mistakes.
Can I Submit My Own Website?
Yes, when the source is genuinely useful and the submission follows Vahuk’s rules.
Self-promotion is not automatically prohibited. The problem begins when participation turns into repetitive advertising, domain flooding, duplicate submissions, fake voting, coordinated reactions, or other manipulation.
Read the Submission Guidelines and Spam & Abuse Policy before regularly submitting content from a website you own or represent.
Is Commercial Content Allowed?
A commercial page is not automatically spam.
A useful software tool, original industry report, detailed documentation page, or relevant service resource can still be worth sharing.
The important questions are whether the source is useful, accurately described, properly classified, and shared without manipulative behavior.
Why Was My Story Removed?
A Story may be removed after publication if a problem is discovered later.
Possible reasons can include:
- the source stopped working;
- a duplicate was discovered;
- the source became malicious or unsafe;
- the Story was part of spam or abuse;
- the destination became misleading;
- a serious policy violation was found;
- the Story was connected to artificial engagement or another integrity problem.
Do not repeatedly resubmit a removed Story through alternate URLs.
Read the Moderation Policy for more information.
Why Did Vahuk Change My Story’s Genre?
Vahuk may correct the Genre of a Story when the selected category does not reasonably match the main subject.
A Genre change is not automatically a punishment. Sometimes the goal is simply to put the Story where readers are more likely to expect it.
Read Genres on Vahuk and the Moderation Policy for more detail.
Why Did My Karma Change?
Karma can change for several reasons, and not every decrease is a penalty.
Possible reasons include:
- normal Karma spending;
- an eligible Karma reward or deduction;
- an administrative correction;
- reversal of invalid activity;
- a technical correction;
- a moderation-related adjustment.
Submitting legitimate Stories can consume User Karma. That is normal and does not by itself reduce contributor trust.
Read How Karma Works for a fuller explanation.
Why Was a Vote or Reaction Removed?
Vahuk may remove or reverse community activity when it appears to be invalid or technically incorrect.
Examples can include:
- automated activity;
- fake-account activity;
- coordinated voting;
- reaction farming;
- duplicate or technically invalid events.
Removing artificial activity helps restore a more accurate view of genuine community feedback.
Read Voting & Reactions and the Moderation Policy.
Why Isn’t My Story Appearing in Trending?
Publishing a Story does not guarantee Trending placement.
Trending can consider several Story-level signals, including activity, Karma, freshness, voting, reactions, eligibility, and other ranking factors.
A Story can receive positive engagement and still not appear in Trending, or it may appear for a period and later move down as newer Stories receive attention.
Read How Karma Works and Voting & Reactions, or browse Trending Stories.
Why Isn’t My Story Appearing in Google?
Publishing a Story on Vahuk does not guarantee that Google, Bing, or another search engine will index or rank it.
There are two separate decisions involved.
Vahuk may decide whether a Story is suitable for search indexing based on its own quality and integrity rules.
Search engines then make their own decisions about crawling, indexing, and ranking.
A Story can also remain available to Vahuk users while being marked noindex.
Votes, reactions, Story Karma, or publication do not guarantee search-engine visibility.
For related guidance, read the Submission Guidelines and Moderation Policy.
Account Settings
You can manage available account preferences and settings from Account Settings.
The options shown there may depend on the features currently available to your account.
Reporting Spam, Abuse, or Another Problem
If you see activity that appears to violate Vahuk’s rules, use the available reporting option where appropriate.
A report may be appropriate for issues such as:
- spam;
- malicious or phishing links;
- harassment;
- impersonation;
- fake engagement;
- serious classification abuse;
- other clear policy violations.
A report is a request for review. It does not automatically mean the Story or account will be removed.
Read the Spam & Abuse Policy and Moderation Policy for more about reporting and review.
Before Reporting, Check the Relevant Policy
Not every problem requires the same response.
For example, disagreeing with an opinion is not automatically a policy violation. A Story can be low quality without being malicious. A negative vote may be enough to express your view when there is no safety or policy concern.
If the issue involves malware, phishing, harassment, impersonation, serious abuse, or deliberate manipulation, reporting may be more appropriate.
See Community Guidelines and Voting & Reactions if you are unsure about the difference.
Reporting a Technical Problem
If something on Vahuk is not working correctly, useful details can make the problem easier to understand.
When reporting a technical issue, include information such as:
- what you were trying to do;
- which Vahuk page you were using;
- the exact error message, if one appeared;
- whether the problem happens repeatedly;
- your browser or device when that information seems relevant.
If the problem involves a Story submission, it may also help to provide the source URL and the exact submission failure message where appropriate.
Never send passwords, authentication cookies, API secrets, private access tokens, or other credentials in a support report.
Reporting a Security Problem
If you discover a security problem, report it responsibly.
Please avoid publicly exploiting the issue or accessing information that does not belong to you.
Provide enough detail to explain the problem and how it can be reproduced, then stop testing once you have enough information to make the issue clear.
If Vahuk publishes a dedicated security-reporting process in the future, that process should be used for security issues.
Help With a Moderation Decision
If you believe a moderation decision may be incorrect, start by reading any reason or message Vahuk provides.
Then:
- Check whether the source still works.
- Check whether the Story is a duplicate.
- Review its Genre and Tags.
- Read the relevant Vahuk policy.
- Do not repeatedly resubmit or try to bypass the decision.
- Use an available contact or review method if you have important missing context or believe there was an error.
Read the Moderation Policy for more about corrections and false positives.
Help With a Restricted Domain
If Vahuk rejects a source because of a domain restriction, do not try different URL formats, redirects, or alternate accounts to get around the restriction.
Instead, review any available submission message and read the Spam & Abuse Policy.
If you have a legitimate reason to believe the restriction is incorrect, use an available review or contact method rather than attempting to bypass it.
Help With Broken or Removed Sources
Vahuk may periodically recheck older Story URLs.
A Story may require review if the source:
- returns an error;
- disappears;
- redirects somewhere unrelated;
- becomes unsafe;
- no longer contains meaningful content.
When that happens, the Story may be removed or otherwise moderated.
Read What Is a Story? and the Moderation Policy for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions About Vahuk Help
What should I read before submitting my first Story?
Start with What Is a Story? and the Submission Guidelines. Together they explain what you are submitting and how to submit it correctly.
Why can’t I submit a Story?
Possible reasons include insufficient User Karma, an invalid source, a duplicate URL, a restricted domain, missing information, or another validation problem. Read the submission message and review the Submission Guidelines.
Why was my Story rejected?
A submission may be rejected because the source is invalid, unreachable, duplicated, restricted, or inconsistent with Vahuk’s integrity or policy rules. The specific submission message should provide the best starting point.
Why was my Story marked as a duplicate?
Vahuk may recognize that the same source already has a Story even if the URL looks slightly different because of tracking parameters, redirects, or another equivalent URL variation.
Why did my Karma decrease?
Karma can decrease through normal Story submission costs, eligible Karma events, administrative corrections, or reversals of invalid activity. A decrease does not automatically mean you were penalized.
Does spending Karma reduce my contributor trust?
No, not by itself. Legitimately spending User Karma through normal Story submissions is expected participation. Contributor trust considers a broader history of account activity.
How do I choose a Genre?
Choose the Genre that best represents the Story’s main subject and use Tags for more specific context. Read Genres on Vahuk for detailed guidance.
Can I submit my own website?
Yes, when the source is genuinely useful and the submission follows Vahuk’s rules. Repetitive self-promotion, domain flooding, fake engagement, and low-value submissions may be treated as spam.
Is commercial content allowed?
Commercial content is not automatically prohibited. A commercial source can still be useful when it is accurately presented, relevant, and not part of a spam or manipulation pattern.
Why was my Story removed?
A Story may be removed because its source became broken or unsafe, a duplicate was discovered, a policy violation was found, or the Story became part of a spam or manipulation issue. See the Moderation Policy.
Can Vahuk change my Story’s Genre?
Yes. Vahuk may correct a Genre when a Story is misclassified. A Genre correction is not automatically a punishment.
Can Vahuk remove votes or reactions?
Yes. Artificial, automated, duplicate, invalid, or technically incorrect activity may be reversed or corrected.
Why isn’t my Story Trending?
Trending is based on more than publication alone. Story activity, Karma, freshness, voting, reactions, eligibility, and other ranking signals may all matter.
Why isn’t my Story indexed by Google?
Publication on Vahuk does not guarantee search indexing. Vahuk can apply its own indexability rules, and search engines independently decide what they crawl, index, and rank.
How do I report spam or abuse?
Use an available reporting option where appropriate. For more about what should be reported, read the Spam & Abuse Policy and Moderation Policy.
How do I report a technical problem?
Provide a clear description of what you were trying to do, the page involved, the error message, and whether the problem repeats. Never include passwords, authentication cookies, private tokens, or other credentials.
Can a moderation decision be corrected?
Yes, where appropriate. Vahuk may correct false positives, technical errors, incorrect Karma adjustments, mistaken domain restrictions, or other moderation mistakes.
Where can I manage my account?
Visit Account Settings to manage the account options currently available to you.
