Bipolar Disorder (DSM-IV-TR) is a periodic or cyclic illness comprised of several disorders including mental disorders (Rogers & Hansen, 2013). Autism is classified in the DSM IV-TR as a mental disorder with symptoms including behavioral disturbances, and cognitive and social-emotional impairments is a mental disorder. Autism is one among the five pervasive developmental disorders normally referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
