In vitro fertilization is a type of assisted reproductive technology, an IVF procedure that is often used to achieve IVF success when a woman’s fallopian tubes are blocked or when a man has a low sperm count. We use a special drug to stimulate the ovaries into producing multiple eggs in our IVF clinic. We remove these eggs after maturity and place them in a culture dish with the man’s sperm for fertilization.
