Gandhinar. Raids were conducted in 17 jails of Gujarat on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday (24-25 March). According to information, raids are going on in jails of cities like Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat, Narmada, Junagadh, Jamnagar and Bhavnagar in Gujarat. 1700 security personnel have been deployed in the search operation. The raids began in Gandhinagar after a meeting of high officials, including the state's DGP, under the chairmanship of the Minister of State for Home Affairs.
