Quality Improvement in health care is comprised of numerous frameworks. Equitability is one of the pertinent elements of QI. It helps in ensuring that all patients are offered the same quality of health irrespective of their personal attributes (Johnson, 2011). Efficiency is the second framework of QI. This framework averts the misuse of medical equipment or human resources. The enhancement of health care delivery is inherently associated with the capacity of the systems to remain efficient. Timeliness acts as another significant component of the frameworks for quality improvement.
I intend to major in communication. This is a course I recently chose as I previously had not idea of what major to choose. My decision to choose this major was largely influenced by my participation in volunteer work as well as speeches from my class professor. I am a club member of AGS honor society and a volunteer in Blood Drive. I believe these experiences have exposed me to the world of communication and made me realize the need for people to have adequate skills for communicating with other people and also public speaking.
A majority of people have certain superstitions that define their belief system. For example, some people toss salt over their shoulders to increase their chances of attaining success in an activity. It is difficult to understand some of them. Reincarnation traces its origin greatly to religion (Cooper, 2007). Hinduism and Buddhism religions and the doctrines taught by ancient Greeks propagate the doctrine of reincarnation.
Bipolar Disorder (DSM-IV-TR) is a periodic or cyclic illness comprised of several disorders including mental disorders (Rogers & Hansen, 2013). Autism is classified in the DSM IV-TR as a mental disorder with symptoms including behavioral disturbances, and cognitive and social-emotional impairments is a mental disorder. Autism is one among the five pervasive developmental disorders normally referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
The arrangement of health care service delivery is such that patients receive treatment from a team comprising interdisciplinary professionals (Behm & Gray, 2011). Therefore, a therapist is an important member of a team that includes physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, and other specialized professionals. In relation to mental health service, the therapist works closely with psychiatrists and psychologists to discuss and address issues of concern to the client including medications, medication compliance, side effects, and other important aspects.
The heist as a narrative strategy in movies means that characters have to be created in a certain way. Most of the characters in such films take the role of villains, who plot to achieve an agreed goal. The characters who take the role of a villain formulate a plan such as a bank robbery. The villain expects to execute the plan and escape. The villains are headed by the “ideal man” who leads the group. Other characters that comprise the villain group must all have special qualities that make their plot seem achievable (Telotte, 1996). One character may be a computer genius who can tap into surveillance and security system. Another character may be the mole that leaks security information from the intelligence service.
Quality improvement and performance processes are two distinct processes. Performance measurement refers to the evaluation of an organization’s efficiency in the attainment or pursuit of its respective goals (Eccles, 2011). Numerous parameters are integrated into the framework of performance measurement. These parameters include financial efficiency, cost efficiency, and human resource planning among others (Lighter, 2010). These parameters serve as excellent indicators of an organization’s level of performance. In contrast, quality improvement refers to the different processes implemented in an organization in order to enhance its performance (Johnson, 2011).
Charlize Theron plays Aileen Wuornos in the film Monster (2003). The film is based on the real-life story of serial killer Aileen Wuornos who was executed in 2002. Director Patty Jenkins and Charlize Theron discover the aspect of aggression and anger in the prostitute serial killer and the people in general. Aileen kills her first victim out of self defense after the man violently rapes and tortures her. When she decides to quit prostitution, she is met with aggression as none of the potential employers wants to hire her. Unwanted by the public, Aileen went back to prostitution, but with the intention of killing her male clients (Monster, 2003). Aileen is angry at the men of desiring to take advantage of her. Jenkins and Theron bring out the fact that Aileen turned out to be a serial killer out of circumstance and not by choice.
Supply of safe drinking water is a major priority in many societies. However, pollution is still a major challenge towards achieving the goal of clean drinking water. In most places, drinking water is obtained from two sources; ground water and surface water. Many studies have focused on pollution of surface water. This trend is based on the assumption that ground water is not heavily polluted since their sources are protected. All sources of water contain contaminants. Ground water can also contain pollutants that originate from the geological composition of areas through which the water passes.
The various objectives of a governance plan must be inherently connected to the functional framework of each department. The alignment of the plan into the functional mechanism of each department enhances cohesion and uniformity. It also ensures that the different departments are directed towards the same path in terms of an organization’s blueprint for the governance plan. This assignment dissects the roles of different departments towards the governance plan as developed for the financial sector.
