Pre-registration is needed before the auction schedule in Illinois. Interest rate is 36% for a full year and 24% on farm land on tax lien sales.

Idaho does not have an interest rate for tax liens since it is a tax deed state. Also, their tax deed sales are done online.

Hawaii only conducts tax deed sales and there are no tax lien certificates. For redeemed deeds, there is 1 year right of redemption that would pay 12%.

Both a tax lien and tax deed state, Florida is a nice place to settle in. It has an interest rate of 18% and its redemption period is 2 years.
